A challenging environment where anything can happen. Being prepared for the worst in terms of injuries is a vitally important part of the Security Industries’ training.
In April 2020 the Security Industry Agency introduced license-linked qualification top ups, including the requirement to bump up the First Aid training to Emergency First Aid at Work Level 3.
Real, Effective First Aid Training has direct experience in the industry and in the Army, which allows it to make sure you’re prepared to the max for the rising rate of violent and knife crime.
To help you meet and exceed the requirements we offer the Emergency First Aid at Work and the Catastrophic Bleed Management qualifications, plus every attendee will receive a personal kit to deal with a stab wound included in the price of the course.
…that whoever procures first aid training for their company is personally liable for making sure the training is appropriate and correct?
The old level of training had proven itself too basic in real-life situations, which sadly cost lives. The decision was made to make sure all security personnel have a stronger skill set when it comes to First Aid as they are often on the front line and need the ability not only to treat members of the public but also their colleagues and themselves.
Yes, as both qualifications are Level 3, regulated by Ofqual (the government body that makes sure qualifications are up to scratch) and recommended by the SIA as the minimum level of training.
Covering all the modules of Emergency First Aid at Work and the Catastrophic Bleed qualifications in around 8 hours.
If you have further questions, would prefer talking to someone about your training needs or would like to discuss pricing options, then please get in touch
